Must have your own truck, required 1+ years of previous OTR driving experience is a preferred.
Transport freight from one location to another. Meeting the pick-up time and delivery time.
Tracking required.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
Send over the paperwork to Atcargo after each delivery has been made.
Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
Placards vehicles to meet Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations.
Complies with Company policies & procedures and Health & Safety procedures, Department of Transportation (DOT).
Communicates regularly with Coordinators regarding daily time and demurrage.
Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch, and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports.
Follow traffic laws.
Report problems and accidents to management.
Maintain vehicle logs.
Read maps and followed directions.
Report traffic problems to other drivers.
Provide good customer service.
Meet pickup and delivery schedules.
Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
